NOTE TO RAD MOMS: I highly recommend JoJo's books on communication to you for helping your children attach and learn communication skills. In fact, even though her Play What You Mean, the PlayBook is not written specifically for RAD, it has many fun games in it that promote attachment and communication between children and mothers. Check it out by following the links in my review.
Okay. Time to go now. Y'all come back now, ya hear?

This was very surprising to me when I saw you say this about my book. I didn't know anything about RAD until I met you and had no idea what these kids needed when I wrote the book. Such a blessing to know it can help!
Many of these children have no frame of reference on proper self-expression. Your play activities help them learn to use descriptive verbal expression to communicate. If done with a mom, they can also be used to build trust and enhance bonding.
As well, many children with RAD are developmentally or emotionally delayed in some areas and having activities to do with a parent which they may have missed in formative years is very helpful to their emotional and mental health.
